Lean Peer Group

The Lean Peer Groups, in partnership with the Maryland World Class Consortia, are designed to help participant organizations build active cultures of continuous improvement.

The peer group approach provides a unique and powerful way to share experiences and learn from others.

Participating company leaders from across the region work together to refine and reenergize their continuing Lean Transformations by networking with, and learning from, others in the regional group who are committed to developing a Lean culture. Lean Peer Group members assess their current conditions, learn how to address improvement opportunities, share experiences and information, learn from MWCC staff and guest speakers, and learn from other participants.

Lean Peer Groups are open to MWCC member organizations, as well as to non-members. Lean Peer Group participation includes a one-year complementary membership in the Maryland World Class Consortia.

Testimonials:

“Tulkoff Food Products has worked with David Rizzardo as a Lean trainer, consultant and facilitator of a Lean Peer Group for over ten years.  Dave’s knowledge and enthusiasm about the topics he supports comes through in the quality and passion in what he delivers to his clients.  Our time in his Peer Group allowed us to meet other companies with similar issues and create relationships which have allowed us to take the best ideas from tours and discussions and implement them within our own organization.  The chance to meet monthly with other manufacturers is by itself worth the time investment, and the added expertise of Dave’s knowledge of lean makes this cost benefit a no brainer.”

“I have been involved with the Lean Peer Group for several years now and it is truly a very rewarding experience. The open forum for conversation through a structured format and discussing everyone’s journey throughout the Lean process makes for really great stuff!!  Dave keeps it fun but I also believe everyone walks away with something to take back to their facility for improvements.  Keep up the great work Dave and look forward to the 2018 meetings.”
